Kirby made the comment that he's so hungry he could eat a steak. So when Rusty ordered breakfast guess what he ordered? A STEAK!!!! :)

Rusty and Lacey having a great time letting Bryce pull them around! So glad he's playing again.
I am so glad that their is only 7 days in a week! We have had a rough one. I guess I will continue the story with Rusty. After being hospitalized for 3 days for Pneumonia and asthma we thought he would only improve. It looked that way until Tuesday morning after breakfast. Rusty instantly started complaining about his belly hurting and a few minutes later was puking. So I called the doctor and he replied that his immune system was low from having pneumonia and that he probably got the flu.
All day he could not get comfortable and puked about every twenty minutes until that evening. The puking stopped but the hurt didn't. Before bedtime I took Rusty to the potty and for some reason watched him pee, I couldn't believe what I saw he peed blood. I was very concerned so I called the pediatrician on call and told him Rusty's symptoms and he said he is probably just dehydrated. So we watched him close threw the night and I called and made an appointment in the morning with his doctor.
We got to the doctors office and Rusty hurt so bad that I had to use Lacey's stroller to wheel him in. (Keep in mind it is PINK! So I knew he was really sick then.)
Rusty gave a urine sample and the doctor came in and said he had a kidney infection. So that explained the pain and the blood. He also sent us to get his blood drawn to check a couple other things. After that we headed home.
In the afternoon the doctor called and said that his blood work came back and it showed that his kidney wasn't working as good as it should be. And some of the other tests were slightly raised and some were low. But he said a kidney infection could cause this so not to worry to much.
A couple more hours went by and Rusty's pain only got worse. I was really getting nervous. Then the phone rang again and it was the Doctor again and he said he had called Primary children's hospital and talked to a specialist and he wanted to draw more blood in the morning and see if things were looking better. Then I proceeded to tell him that Rusty was really sick and could hardly stand the pain in his belly and back. He debated to admit him into the hospital but then decided to make it though the night and come in first thing in the morning.
Well morning finally came and Rusty was still hurting. So we decided it was best to have Kirby take him to the appointment and to get more blood drawn while I got Bryce on the bus and run to the grocery store. I got Bryce taken care of and was just walking out of the grocery store when I called Kirby to see what was going on. He said that they got the blood work back and his kidney was doing even worse! So the doctor said to head to Primary children's. I jumped in the car drove to my moms work and ran in and said Rusty got to get to the hospital here's Lacey and my groceries. I met Kirby in Logan and we took off.
After a long painful drive for Rusty we reached the ER. Can I just say how amazing that hospital and the workers are. We told what was going on and within a couple hours we knew what was wrong. He has a Kidney stone!!! Not real common for a 4 year old. We were relieved we found what was wrong.
So at 7:30 p.m. Rusty went into surgery and they put a stent in so that his kidney could start draining normally again. (Rusty was born with two kidneys but only one functions)
Because he had pneumonia just a week before they were very concerned about his lungs in surgery and didn't know if they were going to take out the breathing tube. But he did great and they were able to. They took him to the intensive care unit were they could watch his breathing and how he was urinating very closely. The good thing was when he woke up he was not in pain anymore. The bad thing is in six weeks he has to go back for surgery to get the stone blasted. Did I mention it's the size of a marble?!
Rusty was released the next day and was feeling like a new man. We are so glad to be home once again and pray that he will only feel better. I have never been so scared and prayed so hard in my life. I do know the lord was with us to get us all through this. We are so blessed.
I love you so very much Rusty and am so glad to see you running around again.
