Fishing for food!

Our tent.

Cheese!

Our S'mores.

Lacey loved her s'more, can ya tell???

We have all had camping fever in our family and the other day we were talking about all the fun times we have had on camping trips. It triggered a great idea in my head for a good family night! Why can't you camp in the winter?
So, I pulled some ideas together and here is what I came up with. First we had to fish for our food and the kids loved it. I think every fish was caught at least 3 times! Then we turned those paper fish into tin foil dinners. I put them together an cooked them on 350 for one hour. (Mmmm) The kids pretended they were eating their fish.
Then for the spiritual part we watched a church movie in the tent we made!! That was fun even Kirb and I squished in.
And for dessert we enjoyed S'mores! It turned out being a great spiritual camping trip! The kids are ready to do it again.

Little Mommy

Rock a bye the babies!!!

Notice her baby is still bright eyed! :) Hee,Hee!

I found Lacey in the rocking chair up stairs with her baby and she was sound asleep! :) What a little sweety. She is practicing her mommy skills already. It reminded me of those long nights with your own little baby and how exhausted a mom can get!
Thankfully I have been enjoying a good nights sleep at night for a few months now unless one of my babies are sick, of course.
It's so amazing to me that little girls already have that motherly instinct. I think Lacey makes a great little mommy!!! :)

New Years

Kirb really had a great time it just looks like he's scowling in this picture.

Wait for me!

Lacey hung out in the truck most of the time and was happy as could be just watching. In fact when I got her out on set her on the snow she started to cry!! :)

Rusty making snow caves and enjoying his hot cocoa.

Here's Lacey with her Aunt Stephanie.

On or near New Years we have made it tradition to go sleigh riding with the Chatterton family. It is so fun for the adults and the kids. It makes me feel like a kid again going down the hill on my sleigh. Kirby was our ride up the mountain! It was so fun and I also love knowing we get to head back to Grandma Debbie's for a warm meal. This year it was all flavors of warm soup that warmed every ones bellies.

It's Christmas!!!

Rusty trying out his wheeler. You can't even see his mouth but can tell has a huge smile under that mask!!!

I have such a hard time keeping secrets from my kids. So it is all I can do to wait until Christmas! I can't wait to see their little faces light up and all the excitement. I did think I would keep myself under control with spending this year and just get mainly what we needed. But you know how that goes!!! What was I thinking?
At first Santa was just bringing one 4-wheeler for the boys to share but when it came right down to it Mrs. Clause thought it would be so fun for them to have their own!!! How does that happen?!?
Lacey was happy with the bows and boxes but she sure does love the baby and stroller she got. She wasn't sure what was going on but very glad to be a part!
It was a pretty relaxing day we were able to enjoy all the new stuff with the kids. And have a yummy dinner. (Ham and potatoes)
When the day was done I was glad Christmas only comes once a year!!!!

Holiday Fun

Playing games!

Travis got into making the prizes! Ornaments for the Christmas tree!
Note: They were all intended to be trains but with Trav's creativity we had unique ornaments!:)

If you really know me you would know that having a party stresses me out! Having a spotless house, entertainment, great food, and happy kids all at the same time is overwhelming to me! Don't get me wrong I love to party, just not be in charge! I know it's crazy. Maybe I'm the crazy one!!! (Kirby would tell me I stress to much about the little things that don't even matter!)

Anyway I overcame my stress and had a party with my family!!!
And as far as I could tell everything worked out and it was a great time!!!
I loved watching the kids and enjoying the holidays with nothing better than---

FAMILY!!!

Holiday party

Tree Festival

The girls! Me, Natalie, Haddie, and Mom.

This was so awesome this is a huge bubble around Haddie and then you can blow it to make another bubble!!!

It was my very first time to go to the Tree festival in Sandy It was amazing! I couldn't believe the beautiful trees and decorations. We had a girls day out and it was a great time my little niece Haddie is the best shopper she loves it! (And can I mention she's only 7!)

The spirit was so strong as you could read the story behind the tree you were looking at. It was so touching to feel the love that families had for their loved ones. I was reminded quickly of all the blessing I am blessed with each day and so grateful for my healthy family.

I couldn't ask for more.

Bryce putting the finishing touches on the tree.

This year I decided to put our Christmas tree upstairs. We had a great time decorating and finding the perfect place for the ornaments to go. I cherished the ornaments even more that were given to me by my grandma Kingsford. (she passed away in October.) She taught me to love Christmas and how she loved to give.

Here is the finished product.

Hunting!

Here's the gang Bryce, Rusty, Kirby, Haddie, Luke, and Papa. Grandma and Lacey stayed in the truck.
Papa Lynn proud to find his tree!

Kirby dragging ours to the truck. The boys were so excited.

Rusty, Haddie, Luke.

Each year when it gets close to thankgiving everyone starts getting antsy to get their tree permits and find that perfect tree. I don't want to make anyone feel bad but we get the "PERFECT" tree every year! (don't give up dad!) :) I love to go as a family and be all snuggled together in the truck. It is just a good feeling.
This year we got to enjoy the cousins too! It was Haddie and Lukes first tree hunting experience. It was a great time just like every year!!
Bryce surprised us and followed Kirby threw the snow, mud, trees, and rocks. He was right on Kirby's trail. Why do they grow up so fast?
P.S. Natalie your missing out!!! We'll get you their one of these years!!! :)

33 years!!!

Trifle!

Make a wish!!!

Yummy!

Kirby had all the help he needed when it came to opening presents!!!

Happy Birthday to my man! He requested a trifle instead of a cake! This was his favorite dessert when he was on his mission.
He sweetly let me know it wasent the same as the ones he had in England!!!
Oh well, you can't say I didn't try!

Happy Birthday babe, I love you!!!!
