For awhile now Kirby has been talking about wanting to have Lasik eye surgery. Since he works on the computer everyday of his life he thought it would be very nice to not worry about glasses anymore. So he got an eye appointment and decided that he was ready for Lasik! We had to be in Ogden for his appointment at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. Thankfully, grandpa insisted that he take the day off work to say home with the boys, and that was a definite relief! Thank you, Papa.
Anyway we pulled in at the eye center at exactly 7:30, grabbed our stuff we needed, and Lacey(She's still nursing) And signed in.. An hour and a half went by before it was Kirby's turn, and he was feeling a little strange because they have you take a Valium to calm your nerves. It definitely did that, which was good...
No more than eight minutes and he was done! Easy as that! So we headed for home. On the way though, I decided I was going to see if I could get an appointment for Lacey to be seen by her pediatrician. She has had a fever for 12 days now! I had her looked at and of course it was a virus so we were just enduring it. After 7 days of the fever I called the doctor and he said to just wait it out! Well, I had, had enough of the waiting game. So I did get another appointment and we had to wait in Logan for an hour and a half until her appointment..
1:30 came and we headed into Lacey's doctor. After a quick look at her, and a listen to her lungs the doctor said,"We need x-rays and blood work done, it sounds like pneumonia!" My reply was, "Are you kidding me?" So we headed to the lab. They tried in her arm and leg before they could get a blood sample and then the x-rays were torture for me and her.!
Luckily, the conclusion was showing that she had bacteria instead of a virus, and her lungs were surprisingly clear. So ten days of an antibiotic and all should be well..
We finally made it home and grandpa and the boys were having a great day. Kirby could finally rest and get comfortable and Lacey too.
Sometimes life can be crazy and stressful. AAHHHHH.
Update: Kirby is seeing almost to good!! :) He is so glad he made the decision to do it.
Lacey is fever free and can actually breath enough to be nursed! She's back to her chipper self and Kirby is back to work. What a relief.... And Life Goes ON!!!!!

Wow, I would say what a day! Poor little Lacey:( I hate when they draw blood and they are so young. I think it always killed me more then Kolby.
Kirby sounds happy to get the Lasik done. Good for him! David has been thinking about it too. I think when he does do it, he will have wished he had done it sooner:)
That was an eventful day. I am excited for Kirby and a bit jealous too might I add. Oh, poor baby though. Doesn't that make you mad to think that she could have already been on an antibiotic. Grr. Oh well, so glad she is doing better.
I'm so glad that Lacey and Kirby are doing good. I'm a little jealous of Kirby, it makes me want to go out and get my eyes done :)
Thanks for being such a good friend and worrying about me when you're the one that's having struggles!!
Love ya-Gina
