5 K

Here's the crew that keeps me going. Katie, Steph, Tyree, and myself.

My gift at the end of the race! Priceless.

I was pretty stoked about the number I got, it was my good luck!

Here I am waiting for the race to start. Couldn't resist hugs from my family... What do you think do I pass for a runner?!

What a great morning it was! I have been exercising with some good friends in my ward and we decided to challenge ourselves to a 5 K at 7:30 this morning in Smithfield. I know 3.1 miles sounds like a short distance but it definitely challenged me. I was pretty excited on my time because I was hoping to come in under 30 minutes but to my surprise I ran it in 26 minutes 45 seconds! I have been pretty happy about it all day. I was 11th out of the women and 24th overall. They said their were about 400 participants! It was so amazing to me to see that many people ready to run and excited about it. The greatest part was to leave the starting line with my sweet family cheering on their mommy! It was an instant high. I am so grateful for such a supportive family and awesome friends that gave me the challenge. This is probably just one of many more races to come. I never thought I would say it but I am addicted to running! (Crazy I know!) Anyway it has been a great day sharing it with family and friends, thanks guys!

T-Ball Has Officially Started!

Bryce my little pro!

Bryce has just started t-ball this year and is loving it! We are also enjoying the show! The first game was on Thursday night and we got some good laughs. Those little kids are so happy and clueless on what to do or where to run, adorable! Bryce got two really good hits and is improving in just a couple practices on his catching skills. I'm sure by the end of the season he will be pretty savvy about playing ball. We are proud of you little man!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

I always think your birthday is just another day, but the people that love you sure make it a great one!!!

Yesterday I turned 29, scary I know!

I went to lunch at Fredricos with my mom and got to do a little shopping, while my dad babysat the kids. It was a good time. Thanks mom and dad.

Then for dinner Kirby and the boys took me to Olive Garden. My all time favorite place to eat! It was so fun. I was spoiled with gifts and extra special attention but the best gift is my little family. I am so grateful for that gift each and everyday. I Love you guys!
I am a lucky wife and mommy!

No Brakes!!!

Kirby giving every ones bike a tune up.

Ready to venture down the hill!!!

Sunday after church, we had planned a long awaited bike ride to grandma and papa's house. Kirby and I both have children seats attached to our bikes so of course Lacey would be in one and in my mind Rusty would ride in the other. Bryce has no choice but to be a big boy on his bike! (Which he was totally good with!) But, Rusty insisted on ridding to grandma's on his own bike with training wheels! So we started from our house. I know what were we thinking!?!

Bryce I guess, got in a panic and forgot to use his brakes! He peddled forward instead of back! Ahhhh, he came down the hill full speed out of control! At that moment I felt so helpless watching him but unable to jump off my bike because Lacey was behind me.. So what happened you ask???

Well, Daddy to the rescue!! Kirby grabbed Bryce's bike just in time and saved him!!! Amazingly enough it didn't slow him down he wiped the tears from his eyes and jumped on his bike without a minutes hesitation!

We did make it to grandma and papa's with only one crash from Bryce and Rust, and ditching Rusty's bike in Franklin! It was all in all very enjoyable! Next time we venture to grandma's we will be a little more prepared..

Papa ended up driving us home with our bikes in the back of the truck. Thank goodness!

What a great adventure!! We look forward to doing it many more times, so heads up grandma and papa!!!

That Time Again

Great fun, I'm not sure why Rusty's shirt was off. Silly boy!!!

Bryce and Rusty showing off their flashy eggs!!! Rusty showing his tonsils! Wish he would do that for the doctor!:)

I can't believe how fast the years go by. Easter is just 2 days away! For the last week the boys have been counting down and begging to color Easter eggs. So tonight I cleaned up dinner and we colored eggs. It was fun. I must still be a kid at heart because I had to color one of my own, the boys thought it looked like a speckled frog! It was green with red speckles. They have great imaginations! It was such a good time.
HAPPY EASTER!!!

To Smart!

This is one of Lacey's cute things. She's a little smarty! Moms can say that right?! If she hears someone say bye, whether it's on the phone or at the door she gets her little dainty wave going! She thinks she is so big!! Kirby captured this video the other night. She is definitely a girl, she is already multi-tasking. Climbing the stairs and waving!!!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub! (3 in the Tub!!!)

Bath time has been a little crazy. Since Lacey loves bathing and splashing she doesn't want to miss out on tubby time with her brothers! So with a wet mommy and 3 clean children later, everyone is happy!:) Bryce and Rusty are so good and patient with their little sis. Almost to good, she gets anything and everything she wants by a simple high pitched squeal!!! The doctor always says you can't spoil them the first year, so hopefully were safe for 1 more month. It's just a lot of LOVE!!!

One of my favorite things is to bath the kids, lotion them up, pull their jammies out of the warm dryer, dress them, wrap them in a cozy blanket, and give them some mommy attention one at a time in the rocking chair. They all love to be pampered and feel special to get mom all to themselves.. Nothing better.

Spring?!

For everyone that lives by me, it sure can be confusing if spring is EVER going to come! We were outside enjoying the weather a few days ago and BAM, we were hit with snow again.. Here is a picture of my tulips! The poor things are probably confused if it was the wrong time to grow!
So for now we will keep on waiting for those summer days to come. We are definitely ready!!!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Fun times with the kids!

This picture doesn't do it justice but it was yummy, promise!

Lacey enjoying herself at the park!

Bryce and Rusty showing me how they can pump!

We have had such a great time celebrating green day! Monday for family night I made a pretty good dinner, I have to admit! Baked chicken, baked potatoes with green sour cream, and steamed broccoli. The kids thought is was so cool eating a green potato!:) Even though it was a day early! We even got to enjoy our sweet little cousin, Kylee, what a cutie!

Then on the real day we took off to Logan with some friends and ate lunch at Cafe Rio and after got to enjoy a wonderful day at the park! It was the first time this year, does that mean spring is here?!? We had a fun time in the sun. Can't wait to spend everyday outside. We sure did enjoy it!

10 Year Annivarsary!!!

Kirb threatened me not to put any pictures of just him, but I couldn't resist! Sorry babe:) Love this picture. Bryce and Rusty giving daddy a workout!

Say cheese!!! Mommy and Lacey did swim, but Lacey was not real fond of it! So it didn't last long.
What a great ride we have been on for the last 10 years! We are loving every minute of it! The big day was actually March 12. I couldn't stop thinking about our wedding day and how much we have learned, grown,(in the gospel) and changed. All for the good. Our marriage truly gets better everyday. I love the man I married!
So to celebrate, we decided it would be a family affair. We went to Logan and stayed in the Crystal Inn. The boys adored the elevators and of course the swimming pool. We decided to make a pie run around 9 o'clock that night and we each got our own piece of pie! (yummy) It was a great little excursion.
No, it was not romantic, or a second honeymoon that's for sure, but we love to celebrate with our kids. Their were some years we wondered if we would ever get to have a little family on earth. They are each such a miracle and a blessing that was so greatly wanted. We are so blessed...
Yes, we will still have a little getaway all by ourselves. So get ready grandma!!
I am so grateful for my husband and couldn't survive a day with out him! He keeps me going. Along with our sweet kids. I am so grateful for the priesthood in our home and all the blessings we have seen right before us through it. The gospel is a great part of our lives. Kirby is such and great example, husband, and daddy! I Love You, babe.
