I was pretty stoked about the number I got, it was my good luck!
Here I am waiting for the race to start. Couldn't resist hugs from my family... What do you think do I pass for a runner?!What a great morning it was! I have been exercising with some good friends in my ward and we decided to challenge ourselves to a 5 K at 7:30 this morning in Smithfield. I know 3.1 miles sounds like a short distance but it definitely challenged me. I was pretty excited on my time because I was hoping to come in under 30 minutes but to my surprise I ran it in 26 minutes 45 seconds! I have been pretty happy about it all day. I was 11th out of the women and 24th overall. They said their were about 400 participants! It was so amazing to me to see that many people ready to run and excited about it. The greatest part was to leave the starting line with my sweet family cheering on their mommy! It was an instant high. I am so grateful for such a supportive family and awesome friends that gave me the challenge. This is probably just one of many more races to come. I never thought I would say it but I am addicted to running! (Crazy I know!) Anyway it has been a great day sharing it with family and friends, thanks guys!

I am envious. one of these days I will run a 5K. I am so out of shape right now though. The running thing seems to have caught on with a lot of people. I know quite a few who like to do it.

Yea, we did it! It was so much fun! I copied your picture of all of us, because I hate myself in the one Sean took of all of us. (not that I look good in this one!) I will email the one Sean took of you crossing the finish line. And what is Katie talking about, you guys are all tiny!
Way to go Heidi! That is great! I am so impressed. Wish I had the gumption you ladies have. That is so super that you set a goal and you accomplished it. You should be so proud. Good job!
